Petticoat Lane project; Book binding workshop

During this workshop, we got a chance to look at different bookbinding techniques and explore how the books were created.

We were showed how to do the perfect French fold book. I really liked this technique because it’s very neat and quite easy to do, but at the same time, the process requires a lot of focus and precision.

Also, we were shown some books and publications by other Vistula communicators in order to inspire us with our petticoat lane project.

Below are two of the illustration books that I found very interesting and inspiring. I believe that these were done using riso printing. I really love the use of colour in the first illustration, I think that the navy blue and pink work really well together and create an amazing and unique effect.
